Up against a team that are hard to beat, young and aggressive in the noble sense of the word, the Le Bugue players didn’t land themselves in the soup the Corrèze men had been preparing for them as they sought to take everyone by surprise. The powerful Vézère pack had the game well in hand, especially in touch and in the attacking phases of play, and their high-level performance should have paid off even more. The crowd particularly enjoyed two cleverly executed tries : the forwards binding together to touch the ground over the opponents’ goal line and the try scored by Damien Marty after a magnificent action from the three-quarters. The season is already in full swing.
